Tara Morvant Named Rising Star of the Year by Louisiana Travel Association
Explore Houma is proud to announce that Tara Morvant, Director of Marketing and Communications, has been honored with the prestigious Rising Star of the Year Award by the Louisiana Travel Association (LTA) during the 2026 LTA Banquet and Louey Awards Ceremony.
The Rising Star of the Year Award recognizes emerging tourism professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing Louisiana’s tourism industry. Morvant was selected from nominees across the state for her outstanding contributions to destination marketing, community engagement, and the promotion of Terrebonne Parish as a premier travel destination.
Since joining Explore Houma, Morvant has played a key role in developing strategic marketing campaigns that have elevated the destination’s visibility, strengthened visitor engagement, and highlighted the authentic culture, heritage, and outdoor experiences that make Houma unique. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to the tourism industry have earned respect from colleagues and partners throughout Louisiana.
