Maw Maw Walker
Break out your wigs, walkers, and orthopedic shoes—it’s time for the MawMaw Walker, one of Houma’s most hilarious and heartwarming community events! This fun-filled pub crawl invites participants to dress up like their favorite grandparent and strut (or shuffle) their stuff for a good cause.
Hosted each year as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to our elders, the MawMaw Walker brings out the laughs with costume contests, slow-motion sprints, and plenty of selfies with walkers and canes. But don’t let the humor fool you—it’s all to benefit local senior programs and organizations that support aging with dignity in Terrebonne Parish.
Whether you’re walking, watching, or just there for the laughs, this is one event you don’t want to miss.
Festival Tips
- Registration includes T-shirt and novelty giveaway
- Must register in advance or on-site while supplies last
