Cast into Adventure at Junior Angler Day!
Young anglers and outdoor explorers are invited to join us for Junior Angler Day, a fun-filled morning of fishing-themed activities, creativity, and discovery for children ages 6–12.
Thanks to the National Park Foundation and Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, participants will learn about responsible fishing practices, aquatic ecosystems, and the importance of protecting Louisiana’s waterways through engaging, hands-on activities.
Activities include:

Create unique fish-themed artwork using realistic fish molds while learning about the shapes, scales, and features that make each species special.

Whether your child loves fishing or simply enjoys learning about the outdoors, Junior Angler Day offers a great opportunity to connect with nature, build new skills, and have fun at the library.
This program is free and open to children ages 6–12.
