The Houma Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (HACVB) is the destination management organization for Terrebonne Parish. Our mission is to be the leader in Terrebonne Parish’s economic development by attracting and servicing visitors, generating income, jobs and tax revenues, which makes the community a better place to live and visit. We also manage and operate the Houma Area Visitor Center. This interpretive center is the introduction of South Louisiana to our guests. Our local experts are here to guide visitors through all of Terrebonne Parish’s sights, sounds and tastes. Meet our team that manages the day-to-day operations.

Visitor Services Specialist (part time) – The Houma Area Convention and Visitors Center is seeking a part-time individual with solid customer service and communications skills to service the needs and questions of the traveling public. The successful candidate must also be a multi-tasker with solid organizational skills and perform routine clerical and data entry tasks. Candidates must have strong computer skills and the willingness to learn new technologies. Knowledge of Southeast Louisiana’s history, culture, and attractions is a must, and the ability to speak conversational French is a plus.
