Meeting call to order: M. Scoby called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m.

Roll Call: Quorum was present.

Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance: W. Bisland led the board in the Invocation, and C. Landry led the board in the Pledge.

Public to be Heard: Manny Merlos with Hache Grant, Bethany Leonard with Southdown Museum, and Jonathan Foret with South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center.

Approval of August 2026 minutes: K. Gilbert moved to approve the August 2026 minutes. Seconded by: R. Creppell. Motion passed.

Approval of July 2026 Financial Reports: The financial statements, including the budget-to-actual comparison for the general fund, for the month of July 2026, were presented by S. Corbitt. W. Bisland moved to approve the July 2026 Financials. Seconded by: C. Landry.   Motion passed.

Sponsorship Application

  1. 2026 Maw Maw Walker:
    1. C. Landry moved to approve the 2026 Maw Maw Walker Grant for $5,000. Seconded by: R. Murphy. R. Creppel opened discussion. Motion passed.
  2. 2026 Southdown Plantation Market Place:
    1. R. Creppell moved to approve the 2026 Southdown Plantation Market Place Grant for $2500. Seconded by: W. Bisland. Motion passed.

Product Development Application

  1. South Louisiana Wetlands Rougarou Float.
    1. W. Bisland moved to approve the South Louisiana Wetlands Rougarou Float Grant for $3750. Seconded by: M. Guidry. Motion passed.

2026 Amended Budget Approval

    1. W. Bisland moved to approve the 2026 Amended Budget as present by S. Corbitt. Seconded by: M. Guidry. Motion passed.

Approval of Board Signature Resolution for President/CEO.

    1. K. Gilbert moved to approve the Board Signature Resolution for President/CEO. Seconded by: C. Landry. Motion passed.
