Celebrate Spring the Cajun Way!
White Boot Stroll – May 15
The White Boot Stroll is the second new event coming to the greater Houma area this spring. Put on by the Bayou Regional Arts Council, the Houma Downtown Development Corporation, and our team here at the Houma Area CVB, this event celebrates the best of Terrebonne Parish’s arts and culture. Streets will be blocked off in Downtown Houma to allow pedestrians to freely wander in and out of shops and restaurants, which will be paired with local artists and musicians.
In addition to having the chance to buy locally made products and art, guests will also enjoy live music, art installations, photo opportunities, special promotions from restaurants, and more. Kids will especially enjoy Greenwood Gator Farm’s baby alligator petting station at the Waterlife Museum, which will also be open to the public. With good music, good food, and activities for everyone, it’s sure to be a good time.

Music Line-Up
12-2pm – Cajun Music Preservation Socitey
The mission of the Cajun Music Preservation Society is to promote, preserve, and enhance the awareness and appreciation of traditional Cajun Music within the southeast region of Louisiana. The Cajun Music Preservation Society has had a presence at several festivals and other public events in our area. You may have seen the band and wonder why it’s a group of different musicians than before. When asked to provide a band, we simply gather up traditional Cajun musicians and put them all on stage together. The variable configuration of musicians ensures each show will be an unique experience that you will only be able to experience by actually being at the performance.
3-5pm – Grammy Nominated – Pine Leaf Boys
Louisiana’s finest, world-renowned Pine Leaf Boys have made a name for presenting their own inimitable brand of Louisiana music with youthful exuberance, blending the sounds of Cajun, Zydeco, Swamp-Pop, Country, and Soul.
