Regular Schedule Meeting Minutes
May 25, 2023
I. Board and Staff Member Attendance

II. Meeting call to order: J. Falgout called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.
III. Roll Call: Quorum was present.
IV. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance: C. Blanchard led the board in the Invocation. J. Falgout led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.
V. Public to be heard: no one was present.
VI. Approval of Financials: The financial statements, including the budget to actual comparison for the general fund, for the month of March 2023 were presented by S. Corbitt. J. Smart moved to approve the March 2023 Financials. Seconded by: T. Hawthorne. Motion passed.
VII. Approval of Minutes: C. Blanchard moved to approve April’s Minutes. Seconded by: M. Scoby. Motion passed.
VIII. Sponsorship Application Lady Coco’s Fishing Tournament: L. Loupe provided an overview. J. Smart moved to approve Lady Coco’s Fishing Tournament for $5,000.00. Seconded by: Y. Jones. Motion passed.
IX. Executive Director’s Report: S. Corbitt provided the monthly report. Discussion: Occupancy rates, hotel updates, Ramada Inn, HTV TEDA Time Appearance, Financial Audit update, Rougarou Fest, Photography update, WWLTV filming, LTA Board of Directors meeting, Houma Restoration Board update, Visitor Center updates, Marketing updates, Communication/Public Relations updates, Social Media/Digital Content updates, Sales/Group Tours updates, Financial updates, and Datafy report update.
X. Board Announcements: Regional Military Museum Memorial Day Event, We The People Shrimp Boil, African American Museum Mobile Bus update, and Tourism Week update.
XI. Adjournment: J. Smart moved to adjourn. Seconded by Y. Jones. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 9:07 a.
