II. Meeting call to order: J. Ellender called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.
III. Roll Call: Quorum was present.
IV. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance: C. Blanchard led the board in the Invocation. J. Ellender led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance. J. Falgout entered the meeting at 8:34 a.m.
V. Public to be heard: Craig Hamner presented an overview of the CCA Volleyball Tournament. C. Hamner exited the meeting at 8:45 a.m.
VI. Approval of the Minutes: W. Bisland moved to approve April minutes. Seconded by: C. Landry. Motion passed.
VII. Approval of the March 2024 Financials: The financial statements, including the budget to actual comparison for the general fund, for the month of February 2024 were presented by S. Corbitt. J. Falgout moved to approve the March 2024 Financials. Seconded by C. Blanchard. Motion passed.
VIII. 2024 Amended Budget: S. Corbitt provided an overview of the 2024 Amended Budget. J. Smart moved to approve the 2024 Amended Budget. Seconded by: M. Scoby. Motion passed.
IX. Sponsorship Application Lady CoCo Fishing Tournament: S. Corbitt provided an overview. J. Smart moved to approve the Lady CoCo Fishing Tournament for $6,000.00. Seconded by: J. Falgout. Motion passed.
X. Sponsorship Application CCA Volleyball Tournament: S. Corbitt provided an overview. C. Landry moved to approve the CCA Volleyball Tournament for $6,500.00. Seconded by: C. Blanchard. Motion passed.
XI. President/CEO Report: S. Corbitt provided the monthly report. Discussion: Bayou Country Children’s Museum Partnership, Destination International CEO Conference, Aduit Presentation, Exempt vs. Non-Exempt Employees, Downtown Updates, Staff Updates, Occupancy Updates, and Website Insights.
XII. Board Announcements: Residence Plantation Grand Opening, CoCo Marina, Southdown Plantation, and Celebrate Freedom Event.
XIII. Adjournment: J. Smart moved to adjourn. Seconded by J. Falgout. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 9:52 a.m.
